Normal adult ticket price is $105, but through the Youth Winter Sports Alliance (YWSA), there are a limited number of tickets available for $45/day. A great deal, but act fast, because quantities are limited!! I just purchased some at this extremely low rate for our trip out there next week.

New York Magazine hits the nail on the head describing many off-the-slopes attractions in Park City. The Waldorf Astoria Park City is featured as the place to splurge like a Sundance celebrity. Other local favorites include the Farm Restaurant and the No Name Saloon on Main Street, which, I have to admit, I’ve visited more times than can remember.

The Golden Door Spa is highlighted for the ultimate in pampering, and, it couldn’t be more convenient, since it is located inside the Waldorf Astoria Park City. There are many other adventure attractions, such as dog sledding and snowmobiling, or, for the less adventurous, you can hang out at the Waldorf’s Powder Ice Lounge. Just the “tip of the iceberg” of reasons to visit Park City!!

Spring Gruv at Canyons Resort

It’s time for spring skiing in Utah and Canyons Resort makes it even more fun with the 6th annual Spring Gruv festival of events! Starting on March 22, for 10 days, there are action packed events, entertainment, and contests. Free concerts in the resort village start on Saturday, featuring the North Mississippi Allstars, and Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty band on Sunday. Come out and watch the Celebrity Operation Smile Challenge on Saturday, March 30. Don’t miss the Pond Skimming contest on Saturday at noon – crazy, if you ask me, but fun to watch, I’m sure!!

When most people think of spring, they think of flowers blooming, trees budding, and grass starting to turn green. If you’re like me, you’re thinking of spring skiing in Utah!

The best ski conditions I’ve ever experienced were at Canyons the 1st week of April. Hard to imagine chest deep powder in April, but spring storms can be intense!

There is plenty of snow at the Canyons this year — over 200″ has fallen this season and there is a 70″ base, so the stage is already set for great spring skiing. With only a month of ski season left, if you don’t have plans to visit, check our availability calendar — we still have some dates open and a nice spring discount to make the trip that much more enjoyable!

And, rumor has it there is a storm brewing later next week….

Yes, that says 10 FEET! 9″ of powder in the past 24 hours and over 6 FEET already in December!

All 19 skiable lifts at Canyons are open, all 6 natural halfpipes and all 5 bowls open…

It was a very White Christmas and it’s looking like it will be a Happy New Year for Utah Skiing!!

There are several ways to reduce the sting of buying lift tickets for Canyons, Park City Mountain and other Park City area ski resorts.

If you want to save some money, buy your lift tickets early to get a discount. Here are some options and links that may help:

Canyons Ticket Office – Advance Purchase: click here…

This is the link to purchase Canyons Utah lift tickets in advance for your trip. The savings for some ticket packages are over 50%. Purchasing in advance is key to saving money on these lift tickets. These offers appear to be in partnership with Liftopia.

Costco Salt Lake City: click here…

We’ve purchased Canyons lift tickets at this Costco in the past, but it’s hit or miss, so definitely call ahead to see what they have in stock before traveling to the store. It’s about a half hour drive from the Waldorf Astoria Park City. It may be more convenient to stop on way to the resort from the airport to get your lift tickets, since the Costco is located near I-80.

Ski ‘N See has some good discounts available for Canyons lift tickets, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley lift tickets as well as other lift tickets for other local resorts, including, Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude. They have convenient locations right in Park City, however, I don’t think you can buy the Park City area lift tickets at that location, so click the link on their website for locations and call ahead to see how they can help.
